Aivion
Data Deletion Instructions
Aivion is an omnichannel customer-engagement platform. When a business connects a
Facebook Page or Instagram account, Aivion may receive and store the messages and
comments you send to that business so its team can reply to you.
What we store
- The content of messages and comments you send to a connected Facebook Page or Instagram account.
- Your public name and your platform-assigned user ID for that business.
- Any contact details you voluntarily provide in a conversation (e.g. email, phone).
We do not store your Facebook or Instagram password, and we never post on your behalf.
How to request deletion
You can have this data deleted in either of two ways:
-
Remove the app from Facebook (automatic).
Go to Facebook → Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites,
find Aivion, and remove it. Facebook then notifies us automatically and
we delete your data. You'll receive a confirmation code you can use to check the status.
-
Email us (manual request).
Send a request to privacy@aivion.co from any address,
telling us the Facebook/Instagram name or handle you used to contact the business. We will
verify and delete your data within 30 days and confirm by reply.
What gets deleted: the messages and comments you sent through the connected
channel are permanently removed, and your contact profile is de-identified so you can no longer
be recognised. Records a business is legally required to keep (such as completed orders) are
retained only in de-identified form.
Checking a request
If you received a confirmation code (for example DEL-XXXXXXXXXXXX), you can check
its status at https://uat.agentcx.aivion.co/facebook/data-deletion/status/<your-code>.
